The Arbortext community of customers and partners came together for a one day Customer Exchange event on April 10th in Munich to learn and collaborate with peers, hear updates from the product team, and build their network of experts. After welcoming remarks by Deb Williams, Sales Director of PTC Arbortext, and Blaise de Lavarène, Vice President of DxP Services, an ITC Infotech brand and premier sponsor of the event, they kicked off the day with a discussion of PTC’s overall service strategy, and how the digital thread for service unlocks value for organizations. Deb also introduce the Value Roadmap tool and highlighted the ways service leaders are using it as a guide to create plans that add value through technology.

Jeff Coon presented an update on the Creo Illustrate and IsoDraw roadmap and strategy, including a preview on Creo Illustrate 11.0. Jeff walked through how PTC's Illustrations solutions quickly unlock insights and simplify complex CAD data into actionable instructions.

Highlights include:

  • Spotlight on how Volvo is achieving its objectives to trust the data, simplify, and standardize processes, improve cross-functional collaboration, and implement a stable, extendable IT foundation. Plus, the lessons learned along the way including thinking global, increasing project agility, and adoption.
  • Digital thread for ASD and latest in S-series.
  • How Cellcentric and MHP are working together to implement seamless digital thread technology and processes to achieve its growth in fuel cell production through data driven strategies.
  • Vestas' journey with the digital thread and how they are able to deliver sustainable energy at scale, starting with creation of modular information, reuse of content across the value chain, connecting engineering data to documentation content, and leveraging dynamic content distribution channels to distribute content from single source.
  • AI strategies and how to leverage AI in the create, manage, and deliver journey with customer commentary on common challenges and what they are doing to address them

  • Service Content Delivery: Steps to successful implementation and deployment
  • Translation: Optimize how you package and delivery multi-lingual documentation
  • Illustrations: How to manage in Windchill and meet growing demand to deliver at scale

Product updates were also a favorite part of the agenda, which included insights into what’s coming for Arbortext, how Service Lifecycle Management is developing at PTC and a sneak peek into an integration between Arbortext Content Delivery (ACD) and ServiceMax, a PTC Technology, coming in July 2024! With this integration we will empower the field with rich service information giving them access to service and parts information at their fingertips, trusted information always in real-time, connected to engineering, in a simple and contextual way that is easy to understand.

This meeting was a fantastic exchange of expertise both from PTC subject matter experts and visionary client thought leaders. Together, we continue to increase the value across the community of experts.
