At PTC, we all have the Power to Create a better world by doing good. Our goal is to empower our employees, customers, and communities through the transformative power of collective action. We call this “PTC for Good,” and it activates our entire ecosystem for Social Impact.

One significant pillar of this work is the PTC Foundation. To take our philanthropic efforts to the next level, this fiscal year, the PTC Foundation wanted to empower our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Ambassador Groups to create a better reality by gifting each group with $5,000 to donate to a nonprofit that matters to them.

Read on to learn about some of the good that will be accomplished with these donations – from protecting the environment, advancing social justice, supporting STEM programs for underrepresented groups, and much more.

Asian Employees

Asian Americans Advancing Justice: Advancing civil and human rights for Asian Americans to build and promote a fair and equitable society for all.

Green Ambassadors

Conservation International: Protecting critical forests, freshwater, oceans, and the biodiversity humanity needs to survive across 70+ countries through conservation and restoration efforts.

Human-I-T: Creating equitable access for underserved communities. PTC’s donation directly impacted 32 individuals with digital literacy training (so they have skills to access their doctor or find work), connected 25 families to high-speed internet at home (allowing them to manage finances) and provided 20 households with a free laptop and tech support (so they have computing power to do homework and create resumes).

S.M.A.R.T.

inAble: Providing resources for people of all abilities to succeed in school and in the workplace.

Hola

Latino STEM Alliance (LSA): Providing STEM curriculum to local Latin/Hispanic students in grades 5-12 with robotics kits, teacher training, and tech support services. PTC’s donation purchased a classroom bundle of 10 VEX IQ robotics kits, serving 20 Latino students.

Prism

LeRefuge: Providing food and shelter to LGBTQIA+ youth who have been thrown out of their homes by their family due to their gender identity or sexual orientation in the south of France. PTC’s donation provided housing and food for an impacted individual for 10 months.

Black Employees

National Society of Black Engineers: Increasing the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.

Veterans

New England Center and Home for Veterans: PTC’s donation helped to provide hot meals, training programs, rental payments, moving costs, and clinical stabilization programs for local veterans in need.

Energize

Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre: PTC's donation to this well-known rehab center in Pune, India, will directly support rehab of war casualties for patients competing in various wheelchair sport competitions.

Women

PLAN International: PTC’s donation helped to create sustainable change to advance equality and eliminate poverty for girls and children worldwide with programs for protection, education, health, sanitation, and economic empowerment.

Early Career

Year Up: Empowering young adults to reach their potential through meaningful careers and higher education, no matter their background, zip code, or socioeconomic status.
