+ Branding

There are + versions of our parent brands—but not PTC or PTC Atlas. Approval must be granted by corporate marketing before adding a + to any PTC brand.

The + versions of our offerings are the same great products customers already enjoy plus all the gained benefits from having it delivered as a service. The + versions have access to a set of shared PTC Atlas services unavailable with the non + versions of products. A few examples of the core platform services include enterprise user management, simultaneous collaboration, data management, 3D data translations, and analytics services. Please note the + versions of products will release on different timelines, but all represent a better experience.

The hierarchy is Windchill+, within that is Windchill capabilities, PTC Atlas capabilities, and benefits of SaaS.

Using + in copy

  • In copy Windchill+ and Windchill Plus are both acceptable. Whenever possible use Windchill+ but clarity is most important and so often when another word follows the + symbol you’ll need to spell out “Plus” to avoid the + reading as an “and”.
  • + Example: “Get the latest innovations first with Windchill+” and “Windchill+ technology from PTC”.
  • Spelling out “Plus,” especially when we first launch, often helps clarify the new name and prevent it as being read as an “and.” Plus Example: “Windchill Plus Offerings”.
  • Use a space after Windchill and capitalize Plus when written in copy. Example: “Windchill Plus enables real-time information…” Exceptions for hashtags and URLs. www.windchillplus.com and #windchillplus OR #WindchillPlus.
  • Avoid possessive form when possible but when necessary use the + symbol. Example: “Windchill+’s new features”.
  • Use with ™ in copy. Examples: “Windchill+™” or “Windchill Plus™”.
  • Don’t imply that + has everything included for one price. There is still an additional cost for some things such as generative design in addition to Creo+.
  • When mentioning several products use “Plus technology” or “Plus products” not “Plus Club”.

Using + in Child Brands

Don’t add + to child brands or packages without prior approval. Reserve + branding for higher level communications about a parent brand.

Examples:

  • “Creo+™ with Creo Parametric” or “Creo Simulation Live, part of Creo+™”.
  • “Creo Simulation Live, included in Creo+™, delivers instant design feedback...”

Incorrect Examples:

  • “Creo+ Simulation Live” or “Creo+ Simulation Live+”
